What  you need to know about Dermals

What is the Dermal Process?

Dermal piercings are a stunning body art option that sit entirely under the skin, requiring a careful approach for optimal healing and longevity. Here's what you need to know:

Two-Step Process for Success:‍ ‍ To ensure your piercing lasts, we follow a strict two-phase method. Installing the anchor and decorative top in one go has a 98% rejection rate—so patience is key!

Phase 1: We surgically place the dermal anchor under the skin and cover it with a healing cap for protection during recovery.

Phase 2: After 15 days, once healing is confirmed, we replace the cap with your decorative top—jewelry diamond.

Clear Pricing: The quoted price includes both the anchor and the jewelry. No hidden fees—just return within 15 days for your upgrade.

Is It Painful?

This is one of the most asked questions and on a scale of 1 to 10, most people rate the pain around 4 to 6. It’s a quick, sharp sensation that doesn’t last long, but tenderness may continue for a few days.

Pain levels can vary based on:

  • Location (areas with less fat or more nerves may hurt more)

  • Your pain tolerance

To manage discomfort, apply a cold compress, avoid pressure on the area, and take OTC pain relief if necessary.

Dermal Piercing Rejection and Migration

Your body might push the anchor piercing out, especially if it sees it as a foreign object.

Infection and Inflammation

Redness, swelling, or pus are signs of infection. Clean the area daily and avoid touching it with dirty hands.

Scarring

A dermal scar can form if the area gets irritated or if the anchor is pulled out. Treat early signs with scar creams or natural remedies.

Clear Pricing & Payment

Because dermal piercings require a careful, sensitive, and long-term healing process, we charge a flat rate of $150 for the complete procedure. This covers both your anchor installation and your final jewelry.

To make the process as easy as possible, you can pay by Split Payment:

  • Pay half ($75) at your first session, and the remaining balance ($75) when you return after 15 days for Session 2 to add your decorative top.
